Lawson's Park is a perfect place for a picnic lunch with new BBQ facilities, picnic tables, toilets and playground. Lawson's Park also serves as the starting point for many of the walks around Inverleigh (shortly with an interpretive centre).

There are several walks that have been recently developed around Inverleigh that take in the many historic sites of the township, follow the banks of the Leigh River through magnificent River Red Gums or stroll (or 4WD drive) through the unique local vegetation at the Flora and Fauna Reserve. The area is a haven for avid wildlife lovers as there are over 100 birds and mammals species in the area many of which can be sighted along these walks.
